Glazed carrots

Ingredients

1 1/2 lbs. carrots

1 1/2 cups water


2 T. butter

1/4 cup packed brown sugar

1/4 tsp. Salt

Directions

Peel your carrots and cut into angled coins or chunks.

Place carrots in a pan and add the water. Bring to a low boil and cook until carrots are just tender, then drain.

Return the carrots to the pan, and add the butter, brown sugar, and salt. Stir to coat and cook until the carrots are completely done.

Make ahead:
Add the glaze ingredients and carrots back into the pan and cook just enough to melt the glaze completely. Cool and refrigerate. Finish cooking later over low heat.
